2 Timothy 2:14 says, “Warn them…against quarreling about words, it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen.” So STOP! When you are arguing with someone what are you really fighting about? Does it matter if it was last Tuesday or 3 weeks ago? Not really. The real question is… what is the emotional message? Do I matter? Will you allow me to make mistakes and still care for me? Christian marital couseling allows couples to see “under” the words and into the heart of the matter.
